A Letter To A Friend Who Is Depressed

BMW factory in Munich



Founded in 1916 by Gustav Otto and Karl Friedrich Rapp, the merger of two engineering firms in Munich, Bayerische Motoren Werke or BMW (Bavarian Motor Manufactures) was originally a manufacturer of aircraft engines. It also recalls that the emblem of the brand, a spinning propeller on background colors of blue and white of Bavaria (the largest state in Germany), before becoming an industrial society German builder of automobiles and motorcycles.


Today, the parent plant BMW Group in Munich offers a peaceful high school engineering and innovation strength with passion. Shaped like a four-cylinder engine, the place is fascinating. The visitor finds here all technologies in automobile production: press shop, welding shop, paint shop, engine construction and assembly, tooling, manufacturing equipment, saddlery and laboratories ...


This wonder architecture produces daily over 800 cars and over 1250 motors. These are some 9000 people from 50 countries working at the factory in Munich. Which is part of the global production network, which has 23 factories in 13 countries.
